陶傑 – 天地一沙鷗
七十年代，香港中產階級流行閱讀美國作家巴克的寓言小說「天地一沙鷗」。小說講一隻海鷗，熱愛飛翔，牠不甘於孤獨，引領一大批海鷗尋找自由。
「天地一沙鷗」富有教育意義，香港七十年代的繁榮，雖然由港督麥理浩領導，在另一層面「天地一沙鷗」激勵了香港的小資產階級，除了賺錢，還有其他的追求，為香港人的身份和宗旨，開拓了心靈的服務。
這位美國小說家不止這部名著。對於人性，巴克不僅看到光明，還洞悉黑暗，他還有一句名言：「良心是什麼？良心就是在自私之中量度誠實」（Your conscience is the measure of the honesty of your selfishness）。

陶傑 – 西方新聞霸權
非洲加納政府軍警殲剿來非法開採黃金的中國人，迄今擊斃數十人，拘捕幾百，場面相當慘烈。
這個時候，正是考驗香港的新聞傳媒，除了有多「自由」，還有多「專業」的歷史時刻。
香港的中國左傾愛國「知識份子」和「學者」，平時喜歡開論壇，或在冷氣間的辦公室寫論文，聲討「西方文化霸權」，包括「西方新聞霸權」，指摘英美的CNN、路透社、BBC，「壟斷」了新聞觀點，令中國人和第三世界，受到「西方霸權」的新聞傳媒潛移默化的「洗腦」。
很好。現在，非洲加納的愛國軍警，開始保衛家鄉，拿起武器而排華了（這是更「客觀中立」的「論述」吧，對不？），對於英美西方「文化霸權」國家，是黑人清剿中國人，並無西方白人死傷，加納的軍警，殺了幾多個中國人，「西方新聞霸權」不關心，非洲人殺了幾隻大象，西方人才覺得是大新聞呢。

TortoiseSVN – SVN+SSH protocol with SSL key authentication
In the past, i usually integrate SVN with Apache such that i could access the SVN repository through the HTTP protocol.

陶傑 – 兒童鬥獸棋
中國的兒童都玩過一種「鬥獸棋」：一張棋盤，各類動物相鬥，畜生世界一物治一物：貓吃老鼠，狗吃貓，狼吃狗，豹吃狼，虎吃豹，森林之王的獅子吃老虎，最後大象體積最大，大象可以用鼻子捲起獅子擲死（在現實中，當然是神話），於是大象才是森林之王。
但是大象又有誰治得了呢？答案是能鑽進象鼻子的老鼠。
加納的軍警，最近紛紛拿起武器，配合當地黑人的愛國思潮，殲滅來加納「掘金」的中國人──中國人在加納「開採黃金」，但因以工業廢水污染當地河流，又走進人家的原始森林捕食穿山甲，被當地黑人視為侵略者，加納政府出動軍警，搶掠中國人開的超級市場，擊斃與槍傷數十名中國人，抓捕了一百多。
