This afternoon i was checking the reason why my Ubuntu VM image cannot connect to the internet and i found the IPv6 setting in ifconfig. Since i was in bad mood, i wanted to disable the IPv6 in Ubuntu. (Actually the connection problem was not related to it)

Introduction to Virtual Box and VM Player
As the computer processing power is getting much stronger, using virtual machine is very common nowadays.
For the server at my home, i use Sun Virtual Box to host the VM. It is a good software for beginners as it is quite easy to use and less demanding on the host computer compared with the VM Server which almost hangs my home computer =.=

Windows 7 – Cannot connect to network drive
Back from Spain! I will summarize my trip a bit later =)
A few days ago, i found that my office computer was getting slower and slower and it always hanged for a while whenever i did any action on the Windows Explorer. So i migrated all the stuff to a new computer and try the Windows 7 Professional which HKU provided. Note that this is not the RC version. =P

Maven – Introduction
In Maven, each project is associate with a pom.xml which stored all the information about the project. This information includes the project reference libraries. To create a new workspace, what you need to do is to check out the source code from svn and maven will get you all the dependencies.

今次旅程的最後一站—Barcelona
不用多說，這就是我喜歡的巴塞羅那足球隊所在的城市。
這個東北部城市有著強烈的加泰羅尼亞(Catalonia)文化，到處都是藝術館同特色建築，這是因為 Barcelona 處於新舊文化的交匯處。著名的建築家 Antoni Gaudi 就是在這裡讀建築系，他將自己的一生都奉獻給仍在興建的聖家堂(The Sagrada Família church / Templo De La Sagrada Familia)。聖家堂在1882年開始動工，估計只完成了50%，還要花多二、三十年才會完工，現在己經到了第四代建築師 Jordi Bonet 的手上。
