不知道是不是年紀大了，理解能力開始退化，我發現自己愈來愈聽不懂香港官員說的話了。運輸及房屋局長鄭汝樺最近回應復建居屋的要求時表示：「居屋與私人住宅屬不同市場，透過復建居屋未必可遏抑私人樓價，且屬干預市場，並非政府政策。」一開始我還以為是自己看錯了，於是翻了好幾份報紙求證，結果每一份報紙的報道都差不多，鄭局長的確說過這樣的話。
這究竟是甚麼意思呢？既然居屋和私人住宅真是兩種不同的房產市場，所以復建居屋至不會壓低私人樓價，那麼復建居屋又怎麼會是干預市場的做法呢？到底她在說哪一個市場呢？箇中玄機我猜了半天也猜不到。也許真如不少朋友所說，我的經濟學太差，但我實在不能不憑常識判斷，「居屋和私宅是兩種市場」以及「復建居屋會干預市場」其實是彼此矛盾的。在鄭局長這番違反邏輯的話裡頭，只有一點是統一的，那就是她反對復建居屋。
