Drupal – Create a Drop Down Menu

If you want to create Drop Down Menu without working on the Javascript code, you could consider the Drupal Fusion theme + Drupal Skinr module.

If you want to create a horizontal drop down menu, you can make use of the Primary Links menu. Apply the Fusion theme to your Drupal site and install the Skinr module. You can find the Skinr settings @ Administer -> Site building -> Themes -> <Your Fusion Starter Theme> -> configure.

Add your menu items in the Primary menu, make sure you have marked the parent menu as Expanded.

Save the menu, now you got a horizontal drop down menu.

For vertical dropdown, it is just the same as above except you need to make it as drop down in the block configuration. For example, i want to convert the navigation menu in the first sidebar into dropdown. Go to Adminster -> Site building -> Blocks, find out the navigation menu and click configure.

Inside the configuration page, you should be able to find Superfish menu styles under Skinr block settings -> <Your Fusion Starter Theme>.

Marked the Create content as Expanded in the Navigation menu and this time we got a vertical drop down.

Done =)
