When u ssh to a Linux, you see <username>@<ComputerName>.

If u want to change the computer name says, ubuntu to linux. what u need to do is edit the computer name in /etc/hostname and restart the Ubuntu.

In addition, don’t forget to replace the old hostname in /etc/hosts.
